"This Just In..."
This just in. Nazis hold torch light Bund Rally at University of Virginia. Also gun show, and pig roast,...all welcome. Some carried their semi-auto heat to the party. Virginia is "open carry",...smart move guys. They said they carried torches to honor their Nazi cousins during the Third Reich.
They chanted, "...We will 'not' be replaced!"
Eh,...sorry fellas too late. In 2010 more technicolor babies were born in the U.S. of A. than pink ones. Been getting born by the metric ton every day all day since then. The first Majority non-white American Population is now in pre-school.
So you're fucked,...still nice armbands.
There was a fucking riot the next day in Charlottesville Va.,...one dead so far. The fucking Nazis had a big demo to show their flag, and spout their plans for the usual suspects. Well the suspects, and their pals showed up to face off with them, and a hot time was had by all.
Bats bottles smoke bombs somewhat nasty words, and evil spells were exchanged. Yep America in the summer! David Duke who was there for the party tweeted Trump to remind him where his base came from.
"...look in the mirror. You're in the White House because white men put you there."
Um,...embarrassing somewhat.
Anyway the Resident of the United States gave a speech in 'Jersey saying how we should love each other, and how, "...we're Americans before anything else. We must restore trust between us."
How I wish he has actually written that, and meant it. Still at least he read it. Though being who he is he couldn't help but go into how great he is, and how lucky we are to have him.
Sure whatever.
All this was topped off with a car plowing into the anti-Nazi counter demonstrators...plus two uninvolved cars crashing into the back of it. many badly injured one dead. Swell ending to a swell day.
However did my heart good to see "Queer Anarchist" facing off with they're natural enemies the Nazis in real time. Note how our Queer heroes have locked shields Roman style. Them fags went, and did their homework.
As a history fan I am amazed at this sight. They stand off like Legionaries' in battle. Interlocked shields pikes, and all. The historic ironies here can't have escaped either side.
Oh to be 16 again, and there!
I'd have earned my "American Culture Wars Purple Heart" for sure!
Stay tuned to further reports from the fall of the American Empire.
"End Times at Last"
I'd jump out a window, but it's too much trouble. Also I'd miss the new "Ben 'n Jerry's" flavor coming out on Labor Day. It's things like that which give me hope, and keep me here. No need to list the reasons for either bedding down in front of a packed sweaty subway car or splitting to the mountains.
Semi-automatics ammo meat sticks morphine, and comic books optional. Well all that or becoming an illegal alien in New Zealand. Thing is the temptation to just tune out, and live the balance of one's life in ignorance, and trivia,...like most Americans do is becoming a serious temptation.
Basically why bother.
It's hopeless in the short term, and apocalyptic in the long. Short term I'm hauled to a death camp by black shirts. Long term the world is drowned in rising seas mass starvation civil war on every square in of the planet, and diseases we never heard of finishing off whoever is still standing after the major fun ends.
I'm not getting you down am I?
Oh, but there's hope. Yeah we can all vote for whatever nutter the Green Party shoves in our faces. That or maybe the business as usual big money friends of things as they are Democratic Party will at last come to our rescue.
Fat chance.
Them dummies will be wiped the hell out in 2018, and 2020. This because they didn't learn shit from 2016. No need to go into detail. If you've been paying even slight attention you know the deal.
As I see it Trump 2020 or till he has a stroke,...then Pence forever.
This being so...
Lets consider our living options in our new land of the "Handmaiden's Tale".
Ummm, ....none.
'Least none I can figure other than we're doing now. Living in fear exasperation, and 'net surfing. Though I don't surf hardly anymore. This since everywhere I go there's Trump.
He's either being praised by the short sighted, and intolerant or being attacked by the short sighted, and intolerant.
The only way out of this I can see is that giant Asteroid we should have voted for in 2016 finally hitting the planet. A zombie apocalypse or space alien invasion from hell. These might change the conversation.
As I post more, and more:
"I have such a headache."

"My Father"
Since history is no longer taught or valued let me explain this photo. Above is an image of a Japanese teacher, and students in 1940 at a Tokyo secondary school. They are celebrating Japan's signing on to the "Pact of Steel". Known generally as the Axis. It is these nations Germany Japan, and Italy that our father's, and grand father's fought in WW2. If they the "Axis" had won we'd now be in a murderous dark age,...yeah one worse than now.
To my point.
I'm seeing videos, and posts about the commemoration of the nuclear bombing of Japan at the end of WW2. 1945. This is good we 'should' remember, but we should be remembering more. These commemorations are usually put in terms of how evil America is, and how innocent the Japanese were. The Japanese murdered 26 million+ people in Asia during WW2. They were allied to the German Nazis via the Axis. They were literally the Nazis of Asia.

Unlike the Germans they have never acknowledged the mega death they committed. It is not in their children's school lessons. China, and Asia have strained ties with them because of this. As for the Bombs. One would have done it. The second was to warn Russia. The 'second' viewed dispassionately generations later was the crime.
The "one" saved my father uncles, and the fathers uncles of most boomers. Since they would have died. It was estimated at the time a million+ allied dead, and wounded from the invasion of the Japanese Home Islands.
My dad, and the fathers, and uncles of nearly every one that I grew up with would have been killed on the beaches of Japan during the Invasion. However let's say you don't give a fuck about that, and just want to condemn America for the nukes...fine.
However give a thought to the 26 MILLIONS+ dead at Imperial Japanese hands, and your fathers or grandfathers whose bones would be beneath Japanese soil today...btw you would 'never' have been born.
Granted some ideologically committed as I've experienced wouldn't care about that either. However for the few that do care understand what a complex, and evil thing war is, ...no good guys.
...none.
General Lemay who directed the firing bombing of Japan. H
General Lemay who commanded the fire bombing of Japanese cities himself said, "...if we had lost the war we'd have certainly been tried as war criminals."

Everybody was a murderer.
Everybody.
It was just a matter of degree.

"Overcast with Strong Winds"
I needed to get out of my damned digs for more than a walk to the market or laundry, and back. I was only at the Coney Island Boardwalk once, and that in the Spring before the season opened.
So I got on the "D" train, and bleeping went.
Btw the trains were fucked as always on weekends. "Construction" they sez. They been saying that for years now. What the hell are they building, and where? So only locals running.
I forgot the noise, and chaos from the sweaty heaps of folks careening trains, and machine gun battles between gangs of 4th graders. It immediately gave me a headache. I can't believe I used to hack my way through all this everyday for decades.
Speaking of crowds though they drive me crazy I loves 'em. New York crowds that is. You can walk miles, and not understand a word spoken. There's a grand symphony of languages here all day everyday. The idea of being somewhere where only one language fly's is strange indeed. I prefer the mystery of our Tower of Babel.
You name we got it.
Though I sometimes miss Americans. Ya know that bunch from across the Hudson. Their sort of English is weird, but to me endearing. Don't hear it much. These folks are usually among the tourists from Earth that show up every summer.
Btw did you know our town could absorb the populations of a dozen of their states with room left over for Belgium. We could swallow them whole. You'd never see them again...except for maybe the occasional freaked out guy in a cowboy hat clutching a Bible asking if this was Hell.
Well, ...depends on your point of view.
They say there 115 known ethnic groups running around loose here in town. This not counting the shadow populations of Werewolves Wizards Faeries Angels Demons Halflings Vampires Time travelers Space Aliens Ancient Shamans Witches, and Republicans.
Bless 'em. Well mostly,...ya know.
Anyway on my subway car alone there were Russians Armenians Chinese varieties of Caribbean folks. Hispanics from everywhere south of Texas. Heck I even saw some regular Black folks like me descended from our "Great Migration" north 100 years ago. Did I mention assortments of Jewish folks regular Orthodox Ethiopian everybody. Did I mention my years as a Shabbos goy as a lad?
I was listening to some Algerians with a bunch of kids chatting this near some Haitians also having at it. It was fascinating trying to tell the differences between Algerian colonial French, and Haitian colonial French Creole.
Anyway the Beach was the next stop up. All the kids went nuts jumping up, and down singing, and throwing stuff. Older folks were happy too. Though tried not to let it show,...why I don't know. That's another essay.
The door opens on our stainless steel can of air conditioned farts, and the sea breeze rushes in...yep this is the Place.
Eh did I mention it was overcast with strong winds?
Bleep it I'm there so "Nathan's" first stop! Then my favorite site the great carousel barn! It's them little things that make a life. In this case sitting at the great carousel chowing down on fries' dawgs, and watching folks have a neat time.
After a while I wandered about taking snaps of the crowds, and such. Seemed I wandered into "Salsa Sunday". Plenty of sound systems along the 'Walk', and folks of all ages dancing away. Laughter dancing eating drinking pals kids the ocean what the bleep more does one need?
Of course "Bob the Bunny", and Shanghai Barbie" came along for the ride. I took a few snaps of them before they went off to ride the "Cyclone" rollercoaster for the rest of the day. Meantime I set up my "Firebird" kite, and let her loose. She got applause from passers as she went up...yeah a good day.
Good however as I said overcast, and seriously windy. The "Firebird's cord snapped after about an hour of flight. Snapped...I could feel the jolt telegraph down the line to my hands.
It broke loose and flew on way down the beach. It finally circled dipped, and spun into a sea of many colored beach umbrellas. Aw well,...maybe whoever it landed on will adopt it, and give it a new home.
Next I did what I always do when I get out there,...I took a nap on my usual bench along the "Coney Island" Boardwalk. ...life is good. It really don't take much to make a soul happy.
Next year I'll get another kite.

"The Real Dope"
Here's a reply to a post from an old radio engineer pal about the drug trade in Saudi Arabia. Seems they're all hooked over there on what was once used here for hyper-active children.
Go figure.
The Saudi heat caught some guy riding a camel,...yeah I know. Anyway the guy was riding one of them things that was carrying these giant bags of these pills.
I think they let the camel go after he tested negative.
So I sez,...
As an actual drug addict. One remains so for life no matter how long since your last hit. In my case about 25+ years or so. I will tell you that people take drugs because they are in deep pain or bored. The worse is having both conditions.
Claude when you knew me on a more daily basis at the radio station I was just coming out of a decade long infatuation with Cocaine. I say "infatuation" because I ran into serious users who saw my "habit" as tame in the extreme. What I was using wouldn't have been considered a lite aperitif to these guys.
Hey I was an *"Eight-ball" a week man, but still total bullshit to these pros. *(...that's three grams nasal.)
To the camel riding dealer in question. Hey to each they're own. Kiddy hop-head pills really ain't most folk's cat's meow. What's corn chips to one bunch is China White to another.
On a personal note. From what I've read about Saudi Arabian prisons you might want to stick to Pepsi if you're in their 'hood. Hold ya damned piece till ya gets to Amsterdam fer craps sakes.

"...so they will Exist"
I wrote this just now to explain my work.
"I make my pretty things for their own sakes."
"I make them so they will exist. I make them because this is the world I want to live in. Live in even if such a world can never be. Like a Soul dreaming a beautiful aria in hell."

"Arf!"
I need to get to a planet where no one has heard of or speaks of the 45th President of the Untied States. I expect him to bolt raving out of the White House. Run deranged drooling through the streets with the secret service trying to haul him back inside. Before they do he bugged eyed mouth wide bites, and gnaws any people he finds.
None of this sounds unlikely does it?
