We went far right in the last election. The majority having had a taste of madness now want to go back to the center.  However an Impeachment or even an attempt will skew the balance. Next time they won't be voting for Trump, but against Impeachment.

Americans don't like Impeachment. This goes across party lines. Hell I fucking don't like it. It stinks of a Coup no matter which side does it.

Thing is this ain't a far left country nor even despite scary evidence really far right. We're Centrist, and have been since the damned Civil War. Truth be told that was at the core of the thing.

Being  more or less traditionally Centrist is why we didn't have a revolution during the Depression. Close,...right, and left authoritarian populists like Mac Arthur, and Huey Long were in the wings with their eyes on the prize,...but thank Satan we got FDR!

The Dems did it today with their Impeachment move. There's no point in any debates or primaries. Fuck all that.

If you still care I'd say put all your shit into keeping the House, and re-taking the Senate. This will be the "Life Boat" position. 
With this you might be able to stop the opening of not Interment Camps. These have been doing brisk business for a few years now.
