"A New Hope"

Trump, above, self isolated, and so ignored at the "G-20 Summit".

This from "FB" poster... Jeff Borg: "We may be seeing, (...above) , what happens when the United States doesn't have a President. When states and cities and civic groups take over." *(...and run their own affairs.)

*Sez I: The sooner the better. This guy Trump may have done us an unintended favor with his spiteful madness by showing we actually no longer need a centralized authority. Other than for national defense, and social programs. Clearly we've been getting along without a President since January. We don't need a Senate or Congress either since for all that time,...near 'seven' full months, they've been off-line as well.

It's now just a matter of codifying what is already going on.

The actions of the governor of California, and their regional attitudes. This in response to a lack of a rational central authority is the shape of things to come. Basically the executive branch, and the legislative have utterly failed, and are in total shut-down. We only have the Judiciary, and the Fourth Estate,...the Press still breathing. I think these are "pre" or actual revolutionary times. Though not the revolutions either the far right or left ever imagined.

Stay the fuck Tuned to this Development.

Once you recognize the reality that there's no hope for this country, all the consequences that naturally flow from that fact are much easier to take, psychologically - until they start impacting us personally in a tangible way.

Those realities are already having their impact everywhere. It's finally becoming clear just where that awful smell is coming from. Part of the fall of this republic from an Empire to just another player is the death of central government.

It'll coast along from inertia for a while, but regional authorities are getting the drift. This accelerated by the failure of the major political parties, and the corrupt venal incompetents they install in government.

I had thought this would mean chaos. "Mad Max" on whiskey, and crack across the country. Maybe not. Perhaps the post-imperial landscape might have pockets of sanity.

As I say the saner portions of our former republic are now making overt noises of independent governing. Governor Brown of California, and Mayor Deblasio addressing the G-20 both in person, and via video sez much to this.

Trumpland will continue over the cliff. The civilized portion of our former republic seem to have other plans.

As I say "Stay the fuck Tuned to this interesting shit".

As you know this environment has not led one to be optimistic about anything. However these outbursts of regional independence in face of actual overt insanity from the executive branch. I mean literal madness not just the usual selfish cruelties. That, and profound mendacity from the legislative.

This has lit a tiny, and none the less actual light of hope for me.

These events of independent thought, and government are hopeful. One no longer has to hope that the jerks will bother to vote the rubes out. We've already elected local regional sane people.

Let them take both houses the "White Trailer" even the Court.

Our answer to all that is Fuck You, and have a nice day. We live in the 21st century you rubes can stay in the 16th.

As the Mayor of our town said. Mayor Deblasio of NYC said with the backing of our governor. "This is the same City it was on the day before this election. The rights of all it's citizens no matter their origin or status will be protected. If ordered to arrest or in some way detain our law abiding citizens by the federal authorities We will refuse to do this."

In such there is Hope.
