"Banners"

I've been thinking about 20th, and 21st century Queer history. It may come as a surprise to younger people, but gay marriage, and assimilation was never the plan. "We are just like You" as the youngsters in their obliviousness to history happily say. Well that was never the goal. 'No' we are not.

We 'never' were, and 'never' will be like 'them'.

'They' would look the other way while we get exterminated. As for a revolution we had something profoundly different, and better,...for us, in mind.
'But then revolutions never go the way they're planned.

The point of divergence was the AIDS pandemic. On such pivots does history change. Many of us of an age look upon what has happened in horror, and revulsion.

However things are what they are.

Two Banners I live by. "Shoot the Fuck Back!, and Stars'n Stripes on Fucking Acid".

Btw I made the "Acid" flag by reflecting Xmas lights through a Pepsi bottle.

( Click on it for full fun effect. Fags are Art, and Art done right is Dangerous.)

Brilliant Uncle! Absolutely and brilliantly accurate.
