"Summer Nor'Easter"

Nor'Easters which used to only happen in Winter has expanded it's territory. This as an unexpected feature of our New Climate.
The winds came up the sky went dark grey the temps dropped 20 degrees the clouds opened up.

This town is the greatest Show on Earth.

The North East is going through what usually happens in Winter. All or most of the same elements in play.
If this was snow we'd be looking at two feet for sure.
Some 'hoods in the region got 25 inches of rain in two hours.

Fallen trees all that noise. As well as some areas getting them giant hail-stones flying around. Did I mention wind funnels I saw one from the living room window. If they touch down they become tornadoes.
Three in Jersey so far.

I think this is called "Reaping the Whirlwind".

I do not know if yesterday's weather could be called a Nor'Easter but it was dramatic. On the way home from work I noted the house of the folks down the road from me. The once beautiful tree next to their home fell over in the wind, landing on both of their automobiles and their house.

One of the more civil customs that many towns and cities practice, is the planting of shade trees along the streets. Even living in an age which seems to find it difficult to create pleasing architecture, it is still possible to plant shade trees. Except when the weather intervenes.

Having checked on the NOAA website I can say that if it seems as though the amount of rainfall that the New York area receives has increased you are not imagining it. The insurance industry knows for a fact that extreme weather has been on the increase for the last thirty years.
