I'm seeing as I said a few times a bunch of bring back Bernie for 2020 click bate spreading like the flu all over the 'net left-bubble. There's a pile for David Duke for Vice President 2020 all over the 'net rightwing-bubble. I think these things come from the same apartment in Riga like last time.
As for our dear grandpa Bernie. No he won't win 2020. He wouldn't have won last time either. He might have go both coasts, and a few in the middle, and lost like he will again. The left bubble is as stupid as the rightwing one,...only we don't win elections. Yes I wish Bernie were president. I wouldn't loose my Medicare or food or my home if he were. I wish he could be president in 2020.
However a year of the Trump nightmare has if nothing else taught us not to be anti-pragmatic in our ideology. I'm voting for whatever moderate bank owned semi-liberal liar they shove in our faces in 2020. Because we by this current horror learned that no,...both parties are not all the same. Republicans hurt more people, and will kill us off faster than the Democrats. Oh the dems will wipe us out too, but much slower, and in a nicer way.

Anyway me I'm newly elderly black retired, and often ill,...yeah sob sob...fuck it. (...btw there's me below in slightly younger daze.) It's just in my case I can't afford to act like it's 1968.

I’m not even saying Bernie would have been that great a president. But he would be acceptable.
Good advice about the parking meters. Also, watch out for “nominal” fees charged for public services that were once free. Once it’s established that that they can charge 0.1 cent, in a few years it’ll be $100.00, then $1,000.00, then eventually 10,000.00 per unit of community college education, or whatever the service may be.
Did you know that it was once standard practice for Masonic lodges to hire an in-house doctor whose services were available for very reasonable fees or even free to members in good standing? Of course the AMA put a stop to that.

My grand uncle Louis was a Mason,...a Colored Lodge as it was then. There was an annual summer picnic. They were very friendly, and nice as they showed us to the Colored area.
It was separate, but actually equal. Our section was a nice as the white part. There was a short alternate history story somewhere about that. I mean what if "Separate, but Equal" was just that. Nice homes good schools good jobs for both groups.
Interesting. I think this would have put a seriously weird spin on the Civil Rights Movement. There still would have been one,...but rather different.
As for Bernie beating Trump in '16. Could have, but it might have been seriously close if he won at all. As I said yeah both coasts, and a few states in the flyover belt. I think close, but no cigar.

Actually I have a small bit of optimism that both houses may change hands,...long shot for now. However #45 keeps everyone wanting his head so they'll vote even if there's a Zombie apocalypse.

Fox is actually worried. I watched as some Nazi election wonk said the "Liberals are lining up now to vote in 2018". This got a gasp, and actual "gasp" from the Fox, and friends couch.
