"...love"

I just found this shot from the WBAI coverage of Gay Pride in I think 1983 or so. For the first 25 years of this latest manifestation of perverts being uppity. It's been going on in someway or other since the 1850's.
Wbai radio in NYC covered demonstrations, and marches of the Queer movement noise.

WBAI, wbai.org, in it's smarter saner pre- ethnic commie correct better days was the 'ONLY', and I mean 'only' broadcast outlet west of the Mississippi that gave consistent media coverage...usually all day for  the Gay Pride March. Our West coast stations did the same on that side of the planet,...bless 'em.

Also yes it was a "March" not a holiday parade with floats of pissed off lesbian separatists drunken hairy leather guys fucking, and an honor guard of army guys, and cops like today.

It is so ironic that the Army which now marches at the front of many of these things. Ironic that they used to happily hand out 20/25 year sentences to any Queers in the service they captured.

The cops beat black mailed, and killed us, and the newspapers that now sponsor this circus once with great glee published the names home addresses phone numbers, and places of business or employment of Queers arrested in bars or just grabbed on the street for suspicion of "lewd behavior".

I recall pointing this out to a stroller pusher, and they telling me to forget the past,...that's a Quote, "...forget the past." This specifically by one of  the last owners of the "Oscar Wilde" bookstore on Christopher Street. This before the internet drove it, and near 'all' bookstores out of business.

"Stonewall" was a riot not a party.

Today the stroller pusher festival has Corporate Sponsorship, and don't remember or care who helped them when they needed it...bleep'em. Anyway Hi gang!  I really miss you all. It's been a great many centuries since we we together.

Live long, and prosper!

David I would have been in your VW there as well, but was stuck at the Station doing an engineering shift.

In the VW above,...

*(Barbara Journer Wayne Sunday Isaac Jackson  "Thor" Finton William Brent David Thorstad  David Wynyard , and myself at the studio doing the downlink at the studios of this scene from Central Park.)

.(..I didn't go to many of the Marches as it was always near or above 90f, and humid. We used to go out later in the night for our annual WBAI "Fag-day" as we called it dinner in Chinatown.)

It's neat to see the gang after all these millennia.

Thanks for the love.
