The above reminds me of a scene from when I was in high school. The war raging, and every single middle-aged guy on the subway had his face buried in the sports section. Just like folks today buried in their devices. The front page showed the Vietnam War wasting their son's lives, but they hid in the sports pages.
I hated their generation for fucking us up abandoning us to that pointless lost war, and finally leaving us with
shit...I still hate them.

I hate it with a passion. I so enjoy telling stupid brainless drones that, "No I don't follow sports it's for dickless losers."
This confuses them. I usually go on about zillionaire "stars" that laugh at them, and just take their money by vastly inflated ticket prices. How they have no loyalty to fans or hometowns just their bank accounts. How I don't know why anyone would waste their time on these shits.
I have it down to a science.
They usually mumble as to it's "fun", and I say fine give them your money,...they still laugh at you. This fucks their heads pretty good I find. I mean I don't come off as a faggot or commie, and I still make them look like the empty souls they are.
That fucking greatest generation was especially like that. Greedy racist, and stupid.

The selfish uneducated gullible old fucks. They seemed very very old, and removed from their youth to a 16 years old as I was.

Look at them hiding in the sports section exactly like the person shown. The scene as I said is exact to what I vividly remember. They were face to paper hiding from what they were doing to us on the front page. What they willingly deliberately abandoned us to.
Then a few years later they voted for Nixon in a landslide burying the Peace end the war candidate Eugene McCarthy.
In doing so they gave us 4 extra years of 'war' that took another '18,000 of us' to useless deaths. This includes two cousins several wounded relatives including my brother, and some boyhood friends.
They actually in their narrow fearful ignorant heads thought they were 'still' fighting the Japanese. They all went on about a "Fight to the Finish" as if it were 1942. The demented racist greedy evil fucks. Their grandchildren gave us Trump.
I hate them all, and will to my end.
Our generation should shit on each one of their graves.
Especially when we’ve got a really bad case of the runs. Barfing, too.
