The flag of that Tribe that Loves Boys.
The Tribe so honored by Sufi poets through 2000 years.
"Maroon for our dried spilled Blood on a field of White indifference."

(...It's the flag of Qatar.
A nation about to be put to the sword with our weapons.)

That's my tribe! Where's our nation? Maybe we could travel around like gypsies in wagons, or in repurposed fishing scows.
I understand Qatar is in trouble for not getting onboard with the Saudi wahabbist program, or something like that, and for hosting Al Jazeera news network. Journalists off the leash are dangerous terrorists, you know.

Clearly blood needs to run in the streets of Qatar. Gawd, and the banks demand it!
Oh my friend to live in times so profoundly interesting as these. I'm nearly reduced to prayer.
I think we're comparatively lucky. Much worse times will come, I suspect, in 80 or 100 years. For now the lights are on and the fridge still works. Our parents' or grandparents' generation - they were the luckiest of all. Things looked like getting better forever. We've seen the summit of our civilization, so we're in a position to know this ain't it.
I still think the fishing scows are a good idea. Good tough boats.

Z, here's something that goes also the lines of what you say:
"It's always been assumed that the evolutionary slope reaches forever upwards, but in fact the peak has already been reached, the pathway now leads downwards to the common biological grave. It's a despairing and at present unacceptable vision of the future, but it's the only one." -J. G. Ballard, "The Voices of Time", 1960
Aw gee.
look all we wants to do is love make art, and sleep late.
Is that too much to ask or hope for?
