I hope that you are well. So long as they brought the fire under control quickly it should be possible to repair the building relatively quickly. I hope.
The smoke from house fires can have some rather nasty compounds within it. Visiting a doctor at hospital is a very good thing to do. The nausea could be a result of hydrogen cyanide which can be formed when burning common materials such as nylon, synthetic rubber, polyurethane-foam, as well as materials such as wool or silk. Very low levels of this stuff (hydrogen cyanide) can cause symptoms, such as nausea.
Happily all of this is treatable. Your body will metabolize all this in a fairly short period of time. In aid of the natural process, intravenous fluids and sometimes oxygen may be give as well as medicines which accelerate the natural process of healing. One of these treatments is Hydroxocobalamin, also known as vitamin B12a.
They were thoughtful, and kind,...neat folks for sure all of them.
The little girl is going to be okay. A Blessing!
We're pulling it back together here.
Most of the damage was on the floor below me. ...very bad.
However even as I post the contractors are banging away at the wreckage, and repairs have begun. This is good. We ended up on local TV. The Brooklyn News Channel, and the Spanish speaking channels...many Mexican now in the building.
We all made it. The folks downstairs are staying with family so that's good. Like I say their place is even now being re-built. So I guess a lot of noise for the next few weeks. Small price for everyone making it.
