"... word if i may"

Note from the emotionally sensitive management.  Yeah I sometimes delete posts that I don't want hanging around anymore.
That, and as above sometimes bring them back.

Anyway if you really want to see them again I moved them over to "Book of Days" my story page.
Look for link on lower right.

or,.... http://sidneyinhell.blogspot.com/

There,...I'm glad we had this little talk.

Twice my comments have been deleted. I guess what I have to say doesn’t matter because I’m not emotionally sensitive enough. Insistence that we all be nicey-nice from someone who not that long ago was calling for the nuclear incineration of everyone in Vietnam because we didn’t kill enough of them the first time around is a bit much, you know? I know you’ve been through rough times, but I find that hard to take.

I am sorry My friend.
Yes I have been through rough times. However that is no excuse for treating a friend badly. I am sorry for offending you, and others by my actions.
It seems I'm not that considerate or thoughtful after all.
Still like all of us I sometimes,...that's sometimes try.

As for the Vietnam War, and my feelings about it.

Z I suspect you were too young. I'm not sure. However those of us that were faced with it, and those that went have to this day rather extreme feelings. Both for the politicians that sent us there, and the enemy we were forced to fight.

Your reaction to the things I said were based on moralities history, and such. War actual long up lose dirty wars have nothing to do with any of that. My words were not rational as was neither that war.

It destroyed us it destroyed this country.

The chaos outside our windows now this moment had it's beginnings in that war. We were the war generation. Forgiving from any war generation of any war is near impossible.

We just move on which my family did.

We lost four to the war. Four cousins. Also three wounded one my brother. John my brother as I've said before was shot three times in a fire fight, and also shrapnel wounds. It was the Agent orange infection that finally killed him long after he came home.

So no Z I can't be rational about it.

I'm sorry I made so many upset when I called for that country's extinction from history. These were vicious words from a vicious era that is still alive within me, and some still living millions of others. Not that anyone cares about or even remembers us.

Did you know the Vietnam generation is starting to pass on like our fathers from the Greatest Generation? So many I knew from that time are gone.

My brother is gone.

He, and his whole forward patrol out side of Tay Ninh were poisoned when the were sprayed by a C-130 from the air. Them along with the Vietnamese with the defoliant Agent Orange.

The VA for decades refused to acknowledge there was even a problem.

Till far too late. When they finally did they gave the vets life expectancies of 20 to thirty years after infection,...they were right on time for my brother, and friends I grew up with. The war finally killed them all in the late 1990's through the early 2000's...yeah I know what it'd done, and is doing to Vietnam.
The irony is we're now allies. Our navy's do joint exercises. They forgave us like they forgave the French. Perhaps I'm personally not that either enlightened or pragmatic.

Yes you're right stopping my medications is what let it out. My raging words. The words were wrong the rage was not. Don't say misdirected. This was is not political. My former left friends used to say I should hate America for all this. The enemy, and that 'is' what they were at the time. Were course all saints as they always are to the general left.

As for the actual hating words I wouldn't say such a thing now. Being under nuthouse care once more. However judge me if you like, though those that were not personally involved have no right to.

As I have no right to judge the soldiers of the ongoing Terror War. They will drag it with them some of them into the next century...their families certainly will.

Thanks for having the grace to apologize. I hope you’re doing all right.

I don’t know what to say about the war. Clearly for some it never ended. It seems you’ve been wounded even by indirect connection with it. I wasn’t involved personally, for which I’m thankful, so perhaps it’s best I leave it alone.

BTW, this is nothing to do with you, but I’ve been having a horrible day. The local power company has decided that mine is the street corner where it wants to spend six or seven months having its workmen dig up the street every day, work on some rubbish or other, and fill it back in, every day. They’re here for 10 hours a day; the noise is horrible. It’s pure torment. I don’t know what I’m going to do.

P.S. - I hope you’re getting enough to eat. Your situation worries me. Z

It's some what better in the food matter. Thanks for caring about that.

Sorry to have hurt you in anyway. Was not my intent, but I harmed you, and I'm very sorry for that. yeah I was rather nuts, and not my real self for a bit there...seemed to have caused hurt. i'll try to make it up.

As for that war it's not over in my family.

When I see my sister or cousins it still comes up. What we could have done what we didn't do. Still how we should have tried to get them out of the country all that.

It will go on till we're gone too.

Thankfully the kids, and now their kids are not at all involved. That war is as far away from them as WW1 is to us.

I'm sorry about the gangsters tearing your block to pieces. the utilities never care who they fuck over. being a civilized person on a barbaric environment ain't easy.

Over here some one percenters have bought a few brownstones on our block. The renovations have been going on seven days a week often into the evening. Noise, and lots of it. Our block association went to both about it.

One in particular basically told us to go fuck ourselves. She actually said to Mrs. Ortiz our block rep, "...most of you will have to move anyway".

Nice huh?

We set the City on them since they were breaking every regulation on working hours, and noise offenses in the book...we told our local City Councilman about the "Move" statement...this got on local Brooklyn cable news TV.

We had the satisfaction of watching a TV news crew knocking on her door.
Good,...the bitch.

So yeah we're in the same boat in this case.

“...most of you will have to move anyway.” Outrageous.

You’re lucky to have a block association. Here there isn’t shit; people don’t hang together. And of course this would *never* happen on a corner where rich people live.

Btw we call ch.12 the Brooklyn cable News Channel,...the "Body Bag Channel". This since they like to cover police blotter stories. Well that, and local high school sports. My old high school, Nazareth Catholic has a neat football team.

Form a block assoc. These things can save ya butt.

Well at least here. NYC is a crazy quilt of fiefdoms. Like the Holy Roman Empire so ya have to play to the Holy Court. ...make pals there.

You lay low you get ate.
